About Us
Urban Jungle is here to change the insurance industry for good.
We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in the UK, and we’re taking on one of the biggest and most widely used categories in the world. Urban Jungle puts the customer at the heart of everything it does, uses the latest technology to make insurance simple, fair and affordable, and helps us give our customers much more confidence in their financial futures.
All of this has meant we’ve already been able to help over 175,000 customers get better insurance and become one of the top-rated home insurance providers in the UK, with 4.6 on Trustpilot from over 8,000 reviews. We’ve raised over £30m in funding to date to help us with our mission.
We also have a huge focus on people and our planet. We’ve recently placed 1st in the TechRound100, and won the “Best Employer Award” in the UK FinTech Awards. We’re also proud to be a certified B-Corp, and a Carbon Neutral company.
And the best bit? This is just the beginning.
About the Role
We’re looking for a driven, creative and hands-on Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and help us achieve our ambitious growth plans.
You’ll report directly to our Marketing Director, Laura Woodhead, who has led Marketing teams and campaigns across some of the world’s biggest and fastest growing brands, and get the opportunity to learn from the rest of our senior team who have had a key role in building and running some of the world’s biggest companies in consumer tech.
You’ll work alongside our 4 strong marketing team, focusing on wherever the company needs you most. We operate across a huge range of channels (PPC, SEO, Partnerships, CRM, Outdoor, TV, etc), and regularly flip between always-on strategies and campaigns as the need arises. You’ll be asked to lead our efforts in one or more of these areas, and we’d expect you to be able to rapidly grow your responsibilities as you and the company learn and develop.
You’ll also have a key role in helping set the marketing strategy and where we should focus next for growth.

Here’s what you’ll get up to:

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and our senior team to set the plan and form the longer-term strategy.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of marketing tests and campaigns, including identifying new opportunities or areas to optimise, executing, and running analysis.
  • Utilise customer and competitive insights to create compelling and effective marketing communication and content, including writing copy.
  • Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams (as well as the rest of the business), to make things happen.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third parties, including briefing and developing creative to get the best results.

You've read this far! Here's what we’re looking for from you:

  • 4+ years in Generalist Marketing / Growth Marketing roles.
  • We don’t expect you to have worked in every channel, but we’re looking for someone who has strong skills and experience in at least a couple of marketing channels and areas and is eager to develop their marketing knowledge even further.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for identifying growth opportunities using customer insights and/or data, and building marketing campaigns from scratch to take advantage of them.
  • A do-er who likes getting their hands dirty solving problems and making things happen.
  • Strong communication skills to manage internal stakeholders and external partners where necessary (e.g freelancers, agencies, etc)
  • You’re comfortable working creatively - both generating ideas or building on / working with the ideas of others.
  • Ultimately, you’re highly ambitious with the drive to push both the business and yourself to the next level.
  • These requirements are a guide as to what we’re looking for, but if you don’t have all of the skills listed above, that’s okay! Please don’t let that hold you back from applying if the role excites you.
