About the role

We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our Go to Market team and be part of our next phase of growth. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will help our merchants and customers do business faster and better. You’re chief function is to bring Hokodo to new businesses and manage partnerships from qualification through to close

Location: We would like you to be based in the UK and work from our office in London a couple of days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B financing.

About Hokodo

We’re an international and diverse team of finance, tech, and data science specialists, based in London and Paris, working to modernise B2B payments.

  • Our B2B Buy Now, Pay Later solution enables merchants to offer credit terms to their business customers instantly, resulting in a 40% average increase in revenue for integrated merchants.

  • We are scaling rapidly across Western Europe, with a list of stellar clients and recently raised $40 million in Series B investment to support our mission of enabling 1 million businesses to access a better way to pay by 2025.

  • Join us in our efforts, as we have already made good progress with 50,000+ businesses regularly using Hokodo, but need your support to take us to the next level!

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you.

  • Uncovering value in our customers’ business operations - which can be addressed by the Hokodo solution, underpinned by a demonstrable business case.

  • Developing new client relationships - leverage existing and past client relationships to build and manage a sustained pipeline of opportunities

  • Selling - Discovering and understanding prospect objectives and building joint business cases to win new clients

  • Collaborating - Liaising with Customer Success, Product, Risk & Tech to ensure we onboard clients the Hokodo way and maximise the likelihood of long term and beneficial partnerships

  • Proposals - Develop proposals and conduct face-to-face sales presentations for prospective customers

  • Market research and Analysis - Gain market insights and trends in order to ensure we continue to build a market-leading product that solves our customers most important problems

Who we’re looking for - At Hokodo, we prioritise hiring individuals who share our mission and values, and possess the right attitudes and behaviours for success. While some of the listed requirements may be important, don't worry if you don't meet all of them, we’d still like to hear from you.

  • Sales expertise - Having a solid grasp of sales methodologies and forecasting is crucial. This enables you to effectively identify potential customers, evaluate their fit, and ultimately close deals. Plus, it helps you stay on top of your game by anticipating market trends and adapting your approach accordingly.

  • Business Developer - Prospecting and qualification skills help identify potential customers and evaluate their fit for of products, leading to increased sales and revenue

  • SaaS, eCommerce, Fintech or Paytech expertise - Our stuff can be complex, and we think it's important to have experience with SaaS or payment solutions if you want to hit the ground running.

  • Crushing goals - Proven track record of overdelivering and beating quotas.

  • Data-driven - Great with numbers and can use that to come up with real-life business examples.

Nice to have:

  • Complex finance or Buy Now Pay Later experience - This is the market we operate and knowledge in this area can speed up onboarding

  • An additional language like Dutch, Spanish or Italian to help Hokodo grow in that region
